1. Overview
At Loma, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how to permanently delete your Loma account and associated data, what information will be removed, and what data may be retained for legal purposes.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please read this page carefully before proceeding.
2. Before You Delete
Before deleting your Loma account, please consider the following:
- Cancel Your Subscription First: If you have an active subscription, you must cancel it before deleting your account. You can do this in the app via Settings > Subscription > Manage Subscription.
- This Action Is Permanent: Once your account is deleted, all your saved recipes, progress, achievements, and personal data will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
- Unused Munchies Will Be Lost: Any remaining Munchies in your account will be forfeited and are non-refundable.
- No Refunds: Deleting your account does not entitle you to a refund for any unused subscription time.
3. How to Delete Your Account
To delete your Loma account, follow these steps in the app:

- Open the Loma app on your device
- Go to Settings (tap the gear icon)
- Navigate to Subscription and cancel your subscription if active
- Return to Settings and scroll to the Account section
- Tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm deletion when prompted by tapping "Delete Forever"
Your account and all associated data will be scheduled for deletion immediately upon confirmation.
4. Data That Will Be Deleted
When you delete your Loma account, the following data will be permanently removed from our systems:
4.1 Profile and Personal Information
- Name and email address
- Age, weight, and height
- Gender and activity level
- Profile photo
- Nutrition goals and targets
4.2 Dietary Preferences
- Dietary preferences (vegetarian, vegan, keto, etc.)
- Allergens and food restrictions
- Disliked ingredients
- Cuisine preferences
- Cooking equipment and frequency settings
4.3 Recipes and Content
- All AI-generated recipes you created
- Saved and favorited recipes
- Recipe ratings and personal notes
- Cooking history
4.4 Progress and Achievements
- Cooking streaks and statistics
- Unlocked achievements
- Hours and money saved metrics
- Weekly progress data
4.5 Subscription and Account Data
- Subscription status and plan details
- Munchies balance and usage history
- Recipe generation logs
- App settings and preferences
- Authentication credentials
5. Data We Retain
For legal, regulatory, and fraud prevention purposes, we may retain certain data even after you delete your account:
5.1 Payment Transaction Records
Records of payment transactions processed through our payment provider (Stripe) are retained for legal and tax compliance purposes. This includes:
- Transaction dates and amounts
- Payment method identifiers (but not full card numbers)
- Billing history
Retention Period: These records are retained for up to 7 years as required by tax and financial regulations.
5.2 Legal and Compliance Records
We may retain limited records necessary to:
- Comply with legal obligations
- Resolve disputes
- Enforce our agreements
- Prevent fraud and abuse

6. Deletion Timeline
When you request account deletion:
- Immediate: Your account is deactivated and you are signed out
- Within 30 days: All personal data and content is permanently deleted from our active systems
- Backup systems: Data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being automatically purged
Please note that account deactivation or temporary suspension does not qualify as account deletion. Your account will be permanently and irreversibly deleted.
7. Alternative: Request Deletion via Email
If you have uninstalled the Loma app or are unable to access your account, you can request account deletion by contacting our support team:

Please include the email address associated with your Loma account. We will verify your identity and process your deletion request within 30 days.
